Educators trained on productivity
Productivity SA is currently taking aggressive steps in ensuring that the country’s citizens become conscious of their role in productivity. This is part of the organisation’s Productivity Movement, that aim to turn South Africans into productivity activists and take our beautiful land into a new realm of international competitiveness. Recently, Productivity SA trained more than 250 educators from Mpumalanga and North West provinces on productivity. Productivity SAempowered the teachers so they can be able to practice productivity principles in their own lives and transfer the attitude to the learners.
Comments received from the delegates during all sessions were extremely positive, as teachers expressed the relevance of the programme in their day-to-day duties, both as parents and as teachers. They feel that productivity values apply on one’s everyday life and are vital in building the child’s life in totality. “The training has helped me in terms of understanding time management and how to eliminate waste in the way you do things. I will surely pass the lessons to my learners more especially to the Grade 12’s as they need such advice at this time”, one teacher said. The teachers also mentioned that they would like Productivity SA to conduct more workshops of this nature, ensuring that all educators receive this kind of empowerment as it will surely improve performance in schools in the long term.
